Meal times at Arathusa are sociable affairs. Guests are treated to wholesome dishes, fresh produce, and daily baked confectionery from our kitchen.

Furthermore, South Africa is renowned for its fresh produce. Our fruits and vegetables are primary exports to international regions. Additionally, our meat, venison, and poultry are of the highest quality.

Morning Safari Refreshments
Before your morning safari, enjoy coffee, tea, biscotti, and rusks. While on the safari, we offer a refreshment break featuring coffee or tea with freshly baked baby muffins, rusks, and oatmeal crunchies to tide you over till breakfast.

Breakfast Offerings
For breakfast, we provide a continental selection of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, cheese, and cold meats. Moreover, a hot breakfast made to order is available.

Light and Healthy Lunch
Lunch at Arathusa is light and healthy, with options including a fresh salad, a fish course, or a red meat dish. Additionally, High Tea, served before the afternoon game drive, features freshly baked cakes, tarts, and fruit.

Afternoon Sundowners
For sundowners during your afternoon drive, your drink order is taken at lunchtime. In addition, snacks such as biltong (dried, cured meat similar to beef jerky), pastries, dried fruit, nuts, and mini pies are available.

Diverse Dinner Experiences
We ensure variety in your dining experience, never dining at the same place twice during your stay.

Our outdoor boma, traditionally an enclosure for livestock (Swahili or Afrikaans), serves traditional South African potjie dishes, cooked in a round, cast iron, three-legged pot. At the lodge, our chefs create a mouthwatering multi-course meal using local fresh produce.
